Description

Section D of the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon runs 61.3 miles from Highway 138 near the Cascade Crest to Highway 58 near Willamette Pass. Highlights of this section include Mt. Thielsen, Sawtooth Ridge, Cowhorn Mountain, Diamond Peak, Mt. Yoran, and a possible detour along the Oregon Skyline Trail.<br />

Along the way the PCT passes the south end of North Crater Trail 1410; Mt. Thielsen Trail & New Mt. Thielsen Trail 1456; Thielsen Creek; the highest point in the Oregon-Washington section of the Pacific Crest Trail; Tipsoo Peak; Maidu Lake; Tolo Camp; Windigo Pass; Summit Lake; Road 700; Road 6010 near Summit Lake Campground; Pengra Pass; Crescent Lake, OR; and the Old Oregon Skyline Trail.
